We are in the eye of the hurricane, having just finished the Northwest Regional Fiddle Contest a couple of weeks ago, while the Fiddlers On The Peak contest in Addy is coming up fast next weekend! So many tunes, so many bow strokes . . . Fiddle and Picking Champions are listed on the www.northwestregionals.com website, for those who are keeping score. My continuing campaign to move from the Senior-Senior Division back into the Senior Division has continued to fall short due to a technicality (my birthday), even while no one has drawn conclusions from an investigation as to who infused my rosin block with black pepper, or was rolling marbles in the backstage area in an attempt to make the journey from the practice room to the stage more lively. Beside all of that, we are looking forward to the Bowtussle In Addy this weekend, then perhaps the festivals in Darrington and Medical Lake, and maybe even Fiddle Camp in Wenatchee in late July. Just watch out for the marbles, as someone seems to be losing them in District 2.
