District 11 held their monthly meeting and jam on August 20th.  Some of our members were missing, but we had several visitors, which gave us a pretty good turnout of musicians.  The audience was good, but the smoke in the air kept it down some.  It’s not too bad now, but we had some very poor air quality for several days in August.  We have our regular busy schedule in September, and we have one additional playout for September.  We will be playing at the Monroe House in Moses Lake, on September 11th at 1:45.  This is not a regular monthly playout, but we will play there in September, and may get some additional programs there in the future.  We may also be adding an additional playout to our monthly schedule in the near future, but that one is not set up yet.
For those who may be interested, the George Washington Bluegrass Festival will be going on from September 11-17.  It’s a free event, and there is room for camping.  It’s held at the George, Washington city park.  Several of our District members will be out there for at least part of the festival.

Monthly meeting: 3rd Sunday at 1:30 PM – Jam 2:00-4:00.  Moses Lake Senior Center, 608 E. 3rd Ave. Moses Lake
