District 10 of the Washington Old Time Fiddler Association has some exciting updates and events to share with you. Let’s dive right in!

1. District 10 Fall Jam Session Date: September 29th, 2023 Location: Historic Covington House,

It’s that time of year again! Join us for our annual Fall Jam Session at the Historic Covington House. Bring your fiddle, banjo, guitar, and any other acoustic instruments you love to play. Whether you’re a seasoned fiddler or just starting out, this event is open to all skill levels. Don’t forget to invite your fellow fiddler friends and make it a memorable evening filled with music, laughter, and good company.

2. Fiddlocity with Denice and Aarun Carter Dates: First and Third Saturdays Location: TBD Community Center

We’re thrilled to announce an exclusive fiddle opportunity with the renowned Master Fiddler,Denice Carter and multiple time State Fiddle Champion, Aarun Carter. Aarun has won numerous awards and accolades for her incredible fiddling skills, and she’ll be sharing her expertise with the budding Fiddleocity. This is a unique opportunity to learn from one of the best, so mark your calendars and stay tuned for more details!

3. Fiddler’s Corner: Member Spotlight

In each newsletter, we’ll shine a spotlight on one of our talented District 10 members. This month, we’re proud to feature Ryder Johnson, a junior fiddler with a bright future ahead. Read about his journey, musical influences, and a special performance video on our website.

4. Membership Renewal

If your WOTFA membership is up for renewal, please take a moment to renew your membership on our website or at one of our upcoming events. Your continued support helps us organize events, contests, and workshops, and promote the love of old-time fiddling in our community.
