Hi Everyone!
It has been a wonderful summer of campouts, conferences and jams, but Fall is definitely in the air.
For the month of September we will be having our regular 1st Friday meeting and jam on Friday, September 1st from 10 am-Noon at Faith Baptist Church in Chehalis, located at 436 Coal Creek Rd.
To find the Church take I-5 to exit 79, then head EAST. Turn LEFT on N. National Ave and go 1/3 mile, then turn RIGHT onto Coal Creek Rd.
Go 1.1 miles and turn RIGHT into the Church driveway. We will most likely be in the middle building, but could be in the kitchen, depending on what else is going on at the Church that day.
There will be coffee and tea, please bring a snack if you feel so inclined but it won’t be a potluck.
I’ll be bringing music for some of the wonderful tunes I learned this Summer, starting with ‘In The Good Old Summertime’ – a waltz in G and ‘Manitoba’s Golden Boy’ also in the key of G (I believe it’s a two-step like Liberty).
Also for September, we will be resuming our regular 2nd Wednesday playdate at Colonial Stillwater Estates, located at 2700 Colonial Drive Centralia, Wa 98531 on Wednesday, September 13th from 4:00 pm-5:00pm.
We haven’t played a playdate in over 3 years, and our performing group is very small, so please come to the playdate if you can-I hate to play alone!!
We’ll be playing basic Old Time tunes, or anything anyone would like to play.
I’ll have music, fiddle tab and chords for all the tunes on the playlist and lyrics if we play a song, in order of play.
