Hi Everyone:
For the month of February here’s what we have going on for District 9, and some fun other things as well:
FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 6th, 11:00am-1:00pm WOTFA District 9 Open Acoustic Jam & Meeting at the Lewis County Historical Museum, located at 599 NW Front Way in downtown Chehalis. Lots of parking and we will be jamming just inside the main doors. There is extra parking on the othe side of the museum as well but it’s a bit of a walk from the main doors. There will be coffee and tea and snacks but it won’t be a potluck. Please don’t forget to leave a few dollars in the museum’s donation jar at the desk by the front entrance. They do not charge us to use their facility but do ask for a small donation. This is an informal circle jam that is appropriate for all levels and you do not have to be a member to attend.
WEDNESDAY, FEBRUARY 11th 4:00pm-5:00pm PLAYDATE AT COLONIAL STILLWATER ESTATES, located at 2700 Colonial Drive in Centralia, just off Cooks Hill Rd. We will be playing in the Residence building, which is the big white building with pillars. The music parlor is just inside the main entrance and to the left.
WEDNESDAY, FEBRUARY 25th 3:30-4:30pm PLAYDATE AT SHARON CARE CENTER, located at 1509 Harrison Ave, off I-5 Harrison Ave exit, head West off the interstate, then take a left on Fords Prairie Ave. The main entrance to Sharon Care is all the way at the back of the facility. We will be playing in the Skilled Dining Room which is just inside the main doors.

SATURDAY, FEBRUARY 14th: WAMA SLOW JAM at the Hope Grange in Winlock wamamusic.com
February 12-15, 2026: OLY OLD TIME FESTIVAL. Fun local festival dedicated to teaching, learning and playing old time music and features workshops for almost every acoustic instrument, a great performance lineup, jamming galore and contradances on multiple days and evenings. February 19-22, 2026: WINTERGRASS MUSIC FESTIVAL at the Hyatt Regency in Bellevue, WA. Lots of performances by all kinds of groups, workshops and lots and lots of jamming. WAMA will have a hospitality room at the Hyatt Regency which is free and friendly, so if you are there and need a place to rest and relax between events please stop by and say hello.
