For the month of April here is all the goings-on:
FRIDAY, APRIL 3rd: District 9 Open Acoustic Jam & Meeting 11:00am-1:00pm at the Lewis County Historical Museum located at 599 NW Front Way in downtown Chehalis. There is lots of parking on both sides of the museum, but park by the front entrance if you can, it’s a bit of a walk from the back parking lot. There will be coffee and tea and some snacks but it won’t be a potluck. The museum doesn’t charge us to use their facility but they do ask that if everyone could leave a few dollars in their donation jar at the front desk they would be grateful.
FIDDLECAMP 2026 REGISTRATION: Happens Monday, April 6th online at wotfa.org. Let me know if you are needing a tuition scholarship for someone under age 18, we have them available. You can join WOTFA or renew your membership at the time of FiddleCamp registration as well as pay for your RV spot if you are camping. You can see the class descriptions and teaching lineup at the WOTFA website under the FiddleCamp tab.
COLONIAL STILLWATER ESTATES PLAYDATE: Wednesday, April 8th, 4:00pm-5:00pm. Colonial is located at 2700 Colonial Drive in Centralia, just off Cooks Hill Rd and about 3/4 mile past Providence Centralia Hospital. From Cooks Hill Rd take a left on Scammon Creek Rd, then a right on Colonial Drive, go through the gates and park in front of the big white building with pillars. We will be playing in the music parlor which is just inside the main doors and to the left.
SHARON CARE CENTER PLAYDATE: Wednesday, April 22nd 3:30pm-4:30pm. Sharon Care is located at 1509 Harrison Ave in Centralia. From I-5 Harrison Ave Exit head West, go just over a mile. Take a left turn just after the Dollar General Store, this is Fords Prairie Ave. Go all the way to the back of the facility where the main doors are and them proceed to the Skilled Dining Room where we will be playing.
OTHER FUN STUFF IN APRIL (not WOTFA but still fun):
WAMA SLOW JAM: Saturday, April 11th, 1:00pm-4:00pm at the Hope Grange, 120 Antrim Rd in Winlock. Fun and laid back slow (learning) jam, potluck and open mic. Details are at wamamusic.com
JUICEBOX JAM: Sunday, April 12th 1:00pm-4:00pm at The Juicebox, 216 South Tower Ave in Centralia.

TRADITIONS CAFE JAM: Happens the third Sunday of every month, April 15th from 1:00pm-3:15pm, located at 300 5TH Ave SW in Olympia. Chairs are provided.
