The summer is gone and now it’s time to get back into our meetings and jams. We’ve been able to play with each other this summer at our playdates, but nothing takes the place of our good old time jams and short meetings and potluck lunch! It’s fun to try out new songs and try to stay with people who play fast and who play slow. Our time together is extended compared to the playdates which helps us get caught up on what people are doing and develop good friendships. All in all it’s a good time together on the 1st and most 4th Saturdays of each month. I have printed the beginning part of the schedule near the end of this report, so be sure to take a look at that list.
Meanwhile, district 6 had some people who went to the workshop in July. Shawna reported and sent pictures for all to see which was very nice of her. The workshop looks like a lot of fun and I’m sad I can’t participate. However; Shawna, Bella, Cici, Emma (and Tyler of course) represented our district well. They missed Roy. It seems there were classes, dances, band scrambles, a kids jam, and concerts. Also included were camping and a full moon rising clearly one night. I don’t know about you, but it sounds like a lot of fun and a real good way to get to know others in the state. Here are some of the pictures Shawna took:
