Well, hello June and July. I guess that means we are into summer. We have one event left until September and that is our bonus jam on the 6th of June. However, we do our playdates year round. So that means we work together to cover all the monthly playdates that people can’t attend because of vacations or other summer activities. We really appreciate people stepping up so others can go on vacation. We have a great group of people in our district, although I assume other districts have the same type of people because all old time fiddlers are very nice people.
Our May bonus jam was a hit this year. We had quite a few people and we celebrated Greg’s and my 50th anniversary by eating ice cream bars that we brought for the occasion. That was a great way to celebrate with our friends. Of course we played lots of good music also. We had a gal who had been at one of our playdates because her husband is in one of the memory care places we play. She came to see what we did and is hoping to learn to play guitar and join us. We hope she can do that. Here are some pictures of this jam.
By the time this report comes out, we will probably have already had our June 6th bonus jam. I’ll save the report and pictures of this jam for the August newsletter. So be sure to read that one.

This is a great way to get some lessons on your instrument and meet people from all over the state who are members of the Washington old time fiddlers.
