Greetings.  Hope you are well, enjoying music and sharing it with others.  The Annual Labor Day Campout for District 5 will be over by the time your read this.  Looking forward to getting together and seeing friends from other places and playing lots of tunes early and late while celebrating the unofficial start of the fall season.  An appropriate beginning to National Square Dance Month and National Biscuit and Gravy Week (Sept 3-9), should have some fun!

We’re busy playing at local retirement centers, Farmer’s Markets and enjoying jams at the Belfair Barn and Silverdale Mall.  Practicing some new tunes and rediscovering some old ones we haven’t played in a long time.  See what we’ve been up to https://www.facebook.com/WOTFA5/  Don’t forget that September 19th is International Talk Like a Pirate Day, have some fun with that one …ARRRRghhhh.

We will be resuming our monthly meetings at the Kitsap Square Dance Hall the third Saturday of each month beginning September 16th from 11-3.   NEW!!! We will meet at 11am for an Old Fashioned Old Time Jam without sheet music or those electronic devices (sounds like fun! Good LISTENING practice!!! Exploration!) Business meeting with pot luck finger foods to follow from 12-1 and then JAM (with music if you’d prefer!) til 3.

  • Jam in the BIG barn at the Salmon Center in Belfair each 2nd and 4th Tuesday 1-4pm through October

Address is 600 Roessel Rd. Belfair, WA.  We play inside the barn which can be cool or hot but the doors are open wide and we have shade and shelter.  Dress appropriately.  Take a walk afterwards along the end of the Hood Canal.  Lovely setting.  https://www.pnwsalmoncenter.org/

  • First and Third TUESDAY Jam 1-4 pm at Silverdale Mall next to Dick’s Sporting Goods

Celtic Jam will follow at the same location on the same first and third Tuesday
