District 16 WOTFA – Evergreen Fiddler News for October 2024 – Reporter Dianne Gooch

We continue to meet for the 2nd & 4th Friday night jams at Sisco Heights Community Club. We begin at 3:00 pm and the jams continue until about 9:00-10:00 pm. We have some very dedicated musicians in our group. We often have a very large group but they rotate through on their own schedule. Our faithful president, Noel, has recovered and back jamming with us. Thanks to Dave Thomas for all the set up and break down.

We encourage donations in our kitty jar that will pay for our building rental. 

Sisco Heights Community Club is at 13527-99th Ave NE, Arlington, WA 98223.  

We also have coffee and welcome finger treats to enjoy.

We have been asked to do two playouts at

Imagine Children’s Museum at 1502 Wall Street, Everett, WA 

The dates are Saturdays, October 5 and October 19 – 11 am-1:00 pm. They will provide a sound system and chairs. Gary Nordby, Playout coordinator, has sent out emails to our members.

Our next WOTFA Midway Jam will be Sunday, October 27, 1:30-4:00 pm, at the Lynnwood Library (19200 44th Ave W, Lynnwood). We have 15-20 musicians at these jams. We welcome new musicians. We have a great time playing fiddle tunes, bluegrass tunes, some swing tunes and being challenged with new tunes.  We are thankful to the Lynnwood Library for freely welcoming us to use this great room.
