There have been a lot of changes that we have had to endure throughout the past year, but, we are moving forward.   As time goes on, and the covid-19 pandemic eases up, we will be ready to once again get together and enjoy what we all love.

I have received a lot of emails about fiddle camp over the past few weeks, and the short answer, “we are working on it”.   Please be patient and know that the workshop committee is working hard to be prepared for this summer.  We are all holding our breath, waiting for signs that restrictions will be eased so that we can hold our event.   We will have a better picture come the end of March.   In the meantime, if you have not already renewed your dues for 2021, make sure your dues are current.  You can submit your dues online at https://wotfa.org.  Logon to the website, and mouse over Membership, My Account, and then click Pay My Dues.

As of this posting there are about 350 members that are currently set to Grace status.   If your dues have not been paid by January 1, your membership status moves to a grace period.  At the end of February, your membership will move to expired, and you will not receive the Evergreen Fiddler Newsletter.  This is where the information for fiddle camp will be posted.  So, don’t lose out, renew your dues today!

WOTFA is currently sponsoring a free online Jam Session every Saturday from 4:00 to 6:00 for those of you that wish to join us.  You can register for the jam at WOTFA Front Porch Jam.  We will hold these jam sessions for as long as needed.  Come join us.

We are also offering lessons for the Tune of the Month, the first Monday of the month.  To register for the Tune of the Month with Deb Collins, check out the website at WOTFA Learning Academy.

For all the instructors out there, we are working on a system that will allow you to book lessons online with your students.   The WOTFA Learning Academy will allow instructors to create a booking schedule where students can schedule and purchase lessons.  Instructors will be able to post recorded lessons that can be purchased by the student, as well as offer live online lessons through your preferred online meeting platform.  If you are interested in participating in the WOTFA Learning Academy Instructor Project, please send me an email.  I will be conducting a informational meeting on January 30, 2021 to outline what the system can do for you.
