Hi Everyone-Happy Spring!

For the month of May we will be having our regular 1st Friday open jam on Friday, May 5th from 10am-Noon at Faith Baptist Church, located at 436 Coal Creek Rd in Chehalis. To find the Church take I-5 to exit 79, then head EAST. Take a LEFT at N. National Ave, then go 1/3 mile. Take a RIGHT on Coal Creek Rd and go 1.1 mile, then turn RIGHT into the Church driveway.
The jam is free and open to the public and all ages and abilities are encouraged to attend, including beginners and people who just want to listen to Old Time and Bluegrass tunes.
There will be coffee and tea and snacks but it won’t be a potluck.

Also, Colonial Stillwater Estates in Centralia is asking if we can resume our playdate there. Before the pandemic we used to play every 2nd Wednesday from 4:00pm-5:00pm and it sounds like that time slot is available currently. We usually play around 20 tunes for the hour that we are there, and work from a playlist, and there will be music and chords for all the tunes on the playlist. I believe they give us $65 for the play date, and that really helps the District 9 youth scholarship fund have enough money in it from year to year. So if you can help with the play date please let me know.

Also, if it’s acceptable to everyone, I’d like to have a summer break from the jam in July and August, then resume in September. Let me know what you think!

If you have questions or need more information call or text me (Christie) at 360-791-5185, otherwise we’ll see you on May 5th at 10am.
