Whew, fall is upon us.  Heads up!!!  District 8 hosted their first contradance in years at the Mid County Community Center (MCCC) on Monday  October 21.  By all reports, it was a success, and some dancers are asking when we can repeat!     I also heard that the Madrona Old Time Music Festival was a success.  Looking forward to another one next year!  Congratulations Matt!   Matt actually is back East participating in the election campaign activities.  (See article in Politico 09 06.)

Ongoing Jams

  • 3rd Sundays 2PM  District 8 Meeting and Jam.   Next meeting will be November 17 at 2PM at the Mid County Community Center (MCCC).  We’ll have a short meeting followed by longer circle jam at 10205 44th Ave E, Tacoma 98446.  Behind the school where there’s plenty of parking. Bring a friend and an instrument.  Meet some nice people!  Finger foods welcome.
  • Mondays! 1:30PM-3:30 Open jam at Puyallup Senior Center – 210 Pioneer Ave.  It’s easy to find, easy to park.
    Note: the Puyallup Senior Center is closed on Federal holidays.
  • Mondays  5:30-7:30PM  1st and 3rd Mondays Dance Band practice at MCCC above.  You should definitely try this!      contact Barbara     bmacleanp@comcast.net
  • 1st Fridays 3:30PM-6:00  Gig Harbor Circle Jam.  For current location, contact Matt 202.631.34147
  • “Live Music Friday!”  NOTE: This one is on hold!  If you are interested in a slower jam setting let Barbara know.  At the Golden R ose Mobile Park community center in Puyallup,  6220 107th Ave E, Puyallup, WA 98372.
