Welcome to April. March was a really wild and crazy month with a big deal snow day and flowers peeking out because it’s spring! Glad the snow didn’t last long. Our Meeting/Jam on the first Saturday of March included a good group of musicians. Julie and Andrew Kimball surprised us with one of their infrequent appearances. It’s always enjoyable when they are able to attend. The fun part of our events is that you never know who will show up and each jam is different because of that. Cici, Shawna and Emma had missed a couple of times and they made it along with Michael Harris which pleased everyone. Also, Michael Burns came after a two month absence and it was great to see him as well. His father-in-law passed away at the ripe old age of 98. We send condolences to his wife Vicki and the rest of the family. Micheal is learning to play the fiddle and is making good progress. Here are some pictures of this jam.
Our jam on the last Saturday of March was a great success as well. We had a good group of people who played and sang well together. We also had a wonderful family come to play with us because Chiara (who is also a fairly new member) invited them. Matt Wilson came on his own for a while and then his wife and 2 girls (Brayde, Cora, and Emery) joined him later. Matt was a good addition to our jam. We think they all enjoyed the jamming and are interested in singing and learning to play an instrument. We certainly all enjoyed their contributions. That is what is great about this organization. It is full of people who are caring and interested in sharing their love for music with others. We may not be the best musicians, but we truly love the music.
