April, National Garden Month, April 10th National Farm Animals Day and April 29th International Dance Day. Potential for lots of tunes there and that’s no April Fool’s Joke! Let’s dance the Schottische, a few Waltzes and some Reels to the Dog and Cat Tunes, Turkey in the Straw, a Clucking Hen and finish off with a rousing Pig Ankle Rag!
District 5 has had 5 playouts in March with fun playing Irish tunes. The audiences sing along with enthusiasm and smiles are blooming all around. Good times. At our March monthly business meeting, 9 young people presented why they want to attend WOTFA Fiddle Camp in July and played us a tune or two and then stuck around to jam with the adults. Each will receive a scholarship and we look forward to seeing them at Moses Lake this summer. Don’t forget that registration opens April 3rd. Click here to register!!! https://wotfa.org/fiddle-camp-2023-registration/ See you there.
