Dear Fiddlers,
Friday post jam reflections @ M/V:
The evening still air chill came early Friday while Dwight, and Fred waited in their vehicles; they were treated, and entertained watching in the park a dog owner’s 2 dogs romping and playing with each other for 20 minutes; bringing smiles and a quick passing of time. Upon Sarah arrival we smelled the freshly made brownies that made our mouths water! Others came; and soon the room took on it’s musical form; while our devoted faithful Sarah, who doesn’t let anything stop her; even having to recall how to drive an older stick shift PU Truck, she continued her coffee and water duties; while Diana cut up the brownie’s tray; and cookies and donut holes. Always nice when Diana and Duane who travel so far can bring her students; we had, Rayna on Mandolin, Ronald on Fiddle, and Rhoxznn on Guitar, and singing; around the circle there were, Forest, Gary, Rich, Diana, Sarah, Dwight, and Fred; so 10 player’s, and 10 in the Audience. A good thing about a Jam is the learning from each other songs; it’s okay to try out; stumble and learn; Diana wisely stops her students when they are off tract and gets them where they need to be; good teaching Diana, and we all need musical help; so that we can learn, and then when we do our play-outs we are better for it; Dwight shared about and showed us his Dulcimer! Going well we didn’t want to break but we did; and the goodies kept us occupied a bit longer; so we ended a shade after 9 p.m. The dry brisk night greeted some to the tune of the Owls in the distance; we can honestly say, we had a pleasant evening of fellowship and music! : )
