May Recap

We had a fantastic time with Sarah back singing with us at the Senior Center in Sedro Woolley. A big thank you to Martin and Barbara for bringing Sarah and for your continued support and devotion to the fiddlers. Your efforts are greatly appreciated!

Our day was filled with music from players and singers: Ben, Forrest, Peggy, Denise, Gary, Rich, Joyce, Diana, Micki, Jim (so good to have Jim’s banjo sound and his good voice!), Danny, and Greg. We had a full house, and many expressed their enjoyment of our music. More players mean richer sounds, and it was indeed a wonderful day topped off with a good lunch and fellowship. Special thanks to David for working hard to make us sound our best.

Unfortunately, Jack and Judy couldn’t join us as Jack was in the hospital. We pray for their well-being and miss them both. Duane Stixrud joined us, although his wife Debbie was away visiting their daughter Suzie and the new grandbaby. Congratulations to all!

Recent Events

We’ve had many great play-outs recently:

  • Mountain Glen
  • Mount Vernon Senior Center Jam
  • Country Meadows

These events were well-received by our audiences. Musicians included Micki, Jim, Ben, Steve, Rich, Gary, Greg, Forrest, Dwight, Vern, Walt, Diana, Duane, Barry, Hilary, Graham, David, Peggy, Danny, and Lorene. We appreciate everyone who makes time to join in the fun and music.

Thank you to Forrest, Judi, and Nancy for encouraging others to join us. We also appreciate our audiences, those who help with setup and packing, and those who bring tasty goodies. We are truly blessed!

Special thanks to Peggy, Dwight, Rich, Forrest, Micki, Jim, Greg, and Gary for sharing your musical talents at Life Care in Mount Vernon. Greg, your help with the setup was invaluable. We received a couple of special requests from the audience: “Rocky Top” and “Fishing in the Dark.” We’ll make sure to include them next time!

Our thoughts and prayers are with those dealing with ailments, especially Jack Koetje and Carol Oglesbee. We hope to see everyone soon to share in making old-time music.
