Dear Fiddlers,
We are happy to report that 11 players filled the October air with our music which was well received with smiling faces and clapping hands at Sedro Woolley Sr. Ctr. and Mount Vernon Sr. center; Carol Olgebee took some pictures at S/W Sr. Ctr. to share; to our delight the players and audience is growing! Our last business meeting went well.. Sue Gwost served as secretary; we were pleased that our Co Chair Frank Campos conducted the meeting, and Sarah Bunkin gave the treasures report and was delighted to report that we took in $50.00 at Mount Vernon Sr. Ctr. Jam.
Sarah Buntin shares, “The Memorial for our most senior member George Park 97 years old, was one he would have been proud! He was celebrated sent off to join other members we have lost over the last few years, by our WOTFA Fiddler’s send off, with music and song. We could almost hear them playing together for George as he arrived. Him singing I found my thrill on Blueberry Hill, Danny Boy and Angeline The Baker. He will be sorely missed and will always have a special place in our Memories and Hearts” Susan Gwost shares her thoughts to us after her Dad George Park Memorial. “I just want to say thank you all for coming to my dads memorial and making it such a special day! We had a great time and I think dad would have like the party himself…many thanks to the set up crew..the kitchen help was fabulous, the music fun, and the food delicious…thanks to Sarah and Frank for setting up sound system. Our Calendar is still the same, first Thursday of the month Sedro Woolley Sr. Ctr 11:30am. The second and fourth Friday of the month at 6:30 pm Mt. Vernon Sr. Ctr. Were looking forward to more playing and fellowship in November, and hoping to see more of you coming to the Jams and Play-outs…The More We Get Together, The Happier We’ll Be!
