Monthly Meeting: 2nd Sunday at Trios Adult Day Services Building, 10 N. Washington St., Kennewick (enter at back.) Doors open at 2:00 PM for jamming; Finger food potluck at 3:00, followed by short business meeting and more jamming. No meeting in May.
Please note: We will not be having a meeting and jam in May because of Mother’s Day. We will resume our regular meetings and jams the 2nd Sunday of June, and continue through the summer.
We want to express our condolences to Roy Calvert and his family (Jeanne, Earl and Becky) on the passing of his lovely wife, Shirley. She has been a vital part of the Washington Old Time Fiddlers for many years, both in her local District 6 and on a State level. She will be truly missed.
We were also sorry to learn of the passing of Bill Parker. Bill was a former Workshop Chair for the State Workshop and also a member here in District 12. Our heartfelt condolences go out to his family-we will all miss him.
We have been missing Reade Obern at our playouts due to an injury, and hope he will be able to return soon.
Dist. 12 is once again offering scholarships to the youth in our district who wish to attend the State Workshop (also known as Fiddle Camp) in Moses Lake in July. Please contact Joe Gunter or Daryl Wuennecke for information on the scholarships.
