District 11 held their August meeting and jam on August 18.  We had a good turnout of musicians and a good audience.  We have had several visiting musicians at our jams the last few months, so we may see some growth in our future.  We added an additional playout to our monthly schedule.  We are now playing at Monroe House on the third Monday at 1:45.

We now have more playouts than we did before the covid.

On July 11th, we played at the Quincy Senior Center for their dinner program.  It’s a monthly dinner in which they invite someone or some group for the evening’s entertainment.  Most of our members attended, and we were well received.  They also did a hat pass which was very helpful to our bank account.  We have been asked to perform again next year, but we haven’t got the date set up yet.

At this time, we only have one other play date other than our monthly schedule, we will be playing at the Moses Lake Christian Church on December 13th for their senior adult group.  It won’t be long before we’ll be bringing out our Christmas music again.

Time is really flying by.

As an informational note, the George Washington Bluegrass Festival will be held from September 16-22.  It’s held at the George, Washington park and community center.  It’s free to the public and there is some dry camping available.  There are a few electric hook-ups for $25.00 for the week.  Several of our members are involved in the festival, so maybe we’ll see some of you there.
