Happy December!  Whew, the storm in November sure wreaked havoc in western Washington.  As I write this, we are getting back to normal with the internet, phone, and electricity all working.  However, we will be working on cleaning up branches from a tree that fell in our yard for a long time.  Thank goodness it didn’t ruin anything or anyone!  I am thankful to the workers who did lots of work to get stuff running and to stock the grocery stores with food.  I bet they are tired.

Our meeting/jam on Nov. 2nd was a good one.  We had a regular size group who enjoyed playing music together.  During the meeting, Tyler was reelected as Chair and Bernie and Ena agreed to continue as treasurer and secretary.  Thanks to you all.  We missed having Jack join us and hope he feels better soon.  Here’s a picture of the group with Bella playing fiddle as she does so well:

The Christmas Party on Dec. 7  was great fun.  All of us banded together to make it a great success.  There were 20 people in all and we sang and played many Christmas songs and other ones as well.  Tyler started a ham cooking in the oven, but had work commitments which kept him from the jamming.  Thanks so much, Tyler.  Bernie played Chair in Tyler’s absence by running  the short meeting.  Many people pitched in to help with all the preparations and by bringing food.  Kathy and Ena pretty much organized the food portion.  And of course Earl did most of the set up.  Thanks to everyone!  It was really enjoyable and here are a few pictures.

There is also still time to renew your membership or join up for the Washington Old Time Fiddlers Association.  You get a full year from your $25.00 if you pay before Dec. 31.  It’s easy to do on the website or there are directions for mailing a check also.

Thanks to everyone in District 6 who plays at our playdates.  It is great that you all donate your time to make people happy and continue earning money for our district.

Keep up the music in your hearts and in your days with practice or jamming.  Questions or comments, email me at timbuktoe@yahoo.com
