Old time fiddle contests have a long honored tradition in old time music.  The first fiddle contest on record was held in 1736 as part of a St. Andrews Day celebration.  The top prize was an Italian made Cremona fiddle.

The Washington Old Time Fiddlers is proud to be a part of the Contest Fiddling community.
