DESCRIPTION:Please join us as we play for Sharon Care Center on Wednesday\, September 24th from 3:30pm-4:30pm.  Sharon Care is located at 1509 Harrison Ave in Centralia. To get to Sharon Care take I-5 to the Harrison Ave exit\, then head WEST past the Safeway until you get to Fords Prairie Ave\, then turn LEFT.  Sharon Care Center will be on your right\, go all the way to the back of the building where the main entrance is located.  We will be playing in the Skilled Dining Room which is just a short distance inside the entrance.   We will be using the September playlist for all playdates this month\, and there will be music and chords for all the music on the playlist for anyone who would like them.

DESCRIPTION:Please join us for our monthly open acoustic jam and meeting on Friday\, September 5th from 11:00am-1:00pm at the Lewis County Historical Museum\, located at 599 NW Front Way in downtown Chehalis.  There is parking available on both sides of the museum and we will be jamming just inside the front door area.  There will be coffee and tea and some snacks but it won’t be a potluck.  The museum doesn’t charge us to meet there but they do ask if people could leave something in their donation jar they would be grateful. \nIf you have questions or need more information please give me (Christie) a call or text at 360-791-5185.  The jam is beginner friendly and open to everyone\, you do not have to be a member to come to the jam.

DESCRIPTION:Please join WOTFA District 9 as we play for the 2025 Garlic Festival on Friday\, August 22nd from 4:00pm-5:00pm at the Southwest Washington Fairgrounds Community Stage.  The address for the Fairgrounds is 1909 South Gold Street in Centralia\, and the Community Stage is located right in the middle of the Fairgrounds.  We will start playing promptly at 4:00pm\, so if everyone can be onstage about 10 minutes early for the sound check that would be great.  Parking is free and I will have admission tickets for anyone in the playdate group who would like them \nWe will be using the August playlist\, but the order is revised to make it banjo-friendly.  If you need a copy please let me (Christie) know at 360-791-5185

DESCRIPTION:Please join District 9 as we play at the Southwest Washington Fair on Thursday\, August 14th at 11:00am on the Community Stage at the SW Washington Fairgrounds.  The Community Stage is right in the middle of the Fairgrounds.  We need to be on stage at about 10:45 for a sound check and will be playing for about 45 minutes or so.  We will be using the August playlist for all the playdates this month\, but if there is a tune or song you would like to play please let me know and we will add it. \nIf you will be playing at the Fair please give me (Christie) a call or text at 360-791-5185 and let me know how many admission and parking tickets you will need. DESCRIPTION:WOTFA District 9 will be performing for the Pacific NW Chamber Orchestra’s Spring Concert Intermission on Monday\, March 17th (Yes that is St. Patrick’s Day) at 7:00pm at Centralia College’s Corbet Theater in Washington Hall\, located at Pear & Washington Streets.  The PNWCO concert is free and starts at 7:00pm and everyone is encouraged to attend.  There is a large green room backstage that will be attended continuously so you can leave your instruments and gear there while you listen to the concert.  The intermission is usually around 7:45 and we will be playing 4 or possibly 5 tunes while the intermission is underway.  Here is the tune list: \n\nLiberty-D     2. DESCRIPTION:Please join us (District 9) for our regular once monthly meeting and open acoustic jam on FRIDAY\, MARCH 7\, 2025 FROM 11:00AM TO 1:00PM at the LEWIS COUNTY HISTORICAL MUSEUM\, located at 599 NW Front Way in downtown Chehalis.  There is lots of parking in front and also in back of the museum\, and there are lots of chairs.  We will be jamming in the museum foyer just inside the front entrance. \nThere will bed coffee and tea and some snacks but it won’t be a potluck.  The museum doesn’t charge us to meet there\, but does ask if we could put a few dollars in the museum’s donation jar they would be grateful. \nIf you have questions or need more information please call or text me (Christie) at 360-791-5185

DESCRIPTION:Please join WOTFA District 9 for an impromptu acoustic jam happening on Thursday\, August 15th at 2:00pm at the Lewis County Historical Museum\, located at 599 NW Front Way in downtown Chehalis.\nTo find the museum take I-5 to exit 79\, then head EAST on Chamber Way. Take a RIGHT at the light on N National Ave go about 1/2 mile. The museum will be straight ahead of you. There is lots of parking in front of the museum with additional parking behind the building.\nThe jam will commence immediately following a brief ceremony at the museum to receive a 112 year old violin made by a C.L. Young of Chehalis in 1912 and being donated by it’s current owner\, Jim Corbett of Seattle.
