SUMMARY:District 6 Christmas party
DESCRIPTION:The District 6 Christmas party is held the first Saturday of December every year at the Mason’s hall in DesMoines\, Wa.  We get together to jam\, eat\, and enjoy each other’s company.  During the jam\, we play mostly Christmas songs\, but any song you pick will be accepted.  There are people of every musical ability and age.  Some people come just to sing or to listen to the music.  All are welcome.  The District provides a ham for the potluck and you are welcome to bring food to share\, although that is not required.  Doors open at 11 am and we eat as soon as most people have arrived.  Otherwise\, we spend our time until 4 pm doing lots of jamming.

DESCRIPTION:Please join WOTFA District 9 (Lewis & Thurston Counties) for our regular 1st Friday open acoustic jam and meeting on Friday\, May 3rd from 10am-Noon at Faith Baptist Church\, located at 436 Coal Creek Road in Chehalis. \nTo find the church\, take I-5 to exit 79\, then head EAST off the exit.\nTake a LEFT onto N. National Ave\, then a quick RIGHT onto Coal Creek Rd.  Go 1.1 miles on Coal creek Rd\, then turn RIGHT into the church driveway.  We will be in the middle building. \nThere will be coffee and tea and some snacks but it won’t be a potluck. \nThe jam is free and open to the public and you do not have to be a member to come to the jam. \nOur jam is beginner friendly \nFor more information call me (Christie) at 360-791-5185

DESCRIPTION:We’re excited to announce that the 2024 Cultural Focus is Meraki. \nMeraki marks the 3rd chapter of our 5-year Cultural Focus storyline. Meraki derives from the Greek language and means doing something with passion\, soul\, and love. In 2022\, our first in-person festival out of the pandemic\, Metamorphosis asked that we accept and welcome change and transformation as a natural part of our everyday folk lives. In 2023\, Lagom compelled us to accept change as part of a journey towards finding a new balance within ourselves\, our communities\, and our larger ecosystem. From that place of balance\, Meraki urges us to seek that which gives us joy\, so that whatever we put our minds to can be approached and accomplished with a sense of pride\, soulfulness\, and discipline. \nWe look forward to this year’s festival and can’t wait to see you there
