Pack Your Fiddle for Weiser! 🎻

Pack Your Fiddle for Weiser! 🎻
Fellow WOTFA friends — if you’ve never made the trip to the National Oldtime Fiddlers’ Contest and Festival in Weiser, Idaho, this might be your year. Happening June 21–27, 2026, “Weiser” (as the fiddling world fondly calls it) has been keeping the homegrown sound of the American fiddle alive since 1963, and the little town of around 5,000 swells to nearly 10,000 as fiddlers and fans pour in from across the country and beyond. It’s been called the Fiddling Capital of the World for good reason.
Whether you want to throw your hat in the ring or just soak it all in, there’s a place for you. Contestants of every age compete across eight divisions — playing a hoedown, a waltz, and a tune of choice — while the rest of us enjoy two entertainment stages, a parade, a carnival, workshops, a banjo contest, craft and food vendors, and the famous all-night campground jam sessions over in Stickerville that are the real heart of the week. Bring a chair, bring your instrument, and be ready to play until the small hours.
If you’re thinking of competing, attending, or camping, everything you need — registration, schedules, divisions, lodging, and tickets — is on the official site. Come be part of a tradition that’s brought young and old together for over sixty years.
