I suppose my frustration is shared across state with the stumbling efforts at recovery from the pandemic. We have not been able to gather together in District 2 for so much as a jam at six-foot intervals, with the pesky virus on everyone’s consciousness. Well, on the bright side, I am not aware of any losses of our membership to sickness of any kind and I have encouraged people as much as I can to keep playing and searching out tunes that would be fun to debut at our next concert. I haven’t been the best model for following my own dictates, but I hope to be ready when the time comes. Faith is vital in these times, and devotion to instrumental tone and dexterity is certainly an expression of that faith. So have ye faith and express that faith, for soon we shall have the means to gather together again and commune in the medium we enjoy.
