It is with a huge lump in the back of my throat that I tell you, Fiddle Camp 2021 has been cancelled.  I want to thank each and every one of you that registered and got your hopes up for camp this year.  All the notes of hope that were sent, truly were appreciated.

With the added costs due to COVID precautions and the very low number of registrations it is just not financially feasible to continue with plans for this year.  This has hit the organization hard.  Membership is down and a lot of that has to do with no workshop last year or this year.  It hurts.  Please, talk with your chairperson, get something going local.  Get Old Time Fiddle music back out to the public.

I know we said this last year, but we will begin the planning for an amazing Fiddle Camp for next year.  We are on the search for a new location.  One that is more central to the state and has enough parking for RV’s and tent campers.  One that has showers and that we can afford but also grow back into.  With this move and the prices of everything going up, we still hope to keep the registration costs low.  For the price we charge, there is nothing out there like what we have, and we would like to keep it that way.

If you would like to still get a t-shirt, you can purchase one through Bonfire at https://www.bonfire.com/fiddlecamp2021/  a portion of each purchase is donated back to the Fiddle Camp.  There are totes and mugs as well.

I also implore you to send us an email telling us what your favorite part of Fiddle Camp is.  We know what our favorites are, but what are yours?  wotfaworkshop@gmail.com

Until next time,

Corrine Agnew & Tyler Hagood
